Directions to the Governors Island Manhattan Ferry:
The Governors Island ferry departs from the Battery Maritime Building located at 10 South Street, adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry in Lower Manhattan. The ferry terminal is accessible as follows:

By Subway
1 to South Ferry station
4, 5 to Bowling Green station
R to Whitehall St. station

By Bus
M1 (weekdays only), M6, M9, and M15

Directions from Liberty State Park (NJ) to Governors Island (NY) (Public Transit):

By Rail

Take the Free Shuttle Bus at Liberty State Park to the Liberty State Park Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Station.

Take the train (on the “To Hoboken” track, take either the blue line to Hoboken Terminal or the yellow line to Tonnelle Avenue) four stops to Exchange Place ($2.10 each way – make sure to validate your ticket!).

Exit out the right doors (when facing forward), turn left, cross plaza to the pink building, and follow signs to the Exchange Place PATH Station inside the building.

Take the train (either the red or green line to World Trade Center) one stop to World Trade Center ($1.75 each way).  Exit PATH Station.

By Ferry

Take the Liberty Landing Ferry from the Water Taxi Landing at the northeast corner of Liberty State Park ($7 each way).

Walk down Vesey Street one block to the PATH Station.

BY RAIL: Walk straight up West Broadway five blocks to the Chambers Street Subway Station.

Take the train (the 1 line to South Ferry) two stops to South Ferry ($2.25 each way).

Exit Subway Station and walk straight towards the Staten Island Ferry building.

At the Staten Island Ferry building, turn left and walk towards the Battery Maritime Building.  Enter and get in line for the Governors Island Ferry!

WALKING: Turn right and walk two blocks down Vesey Street.

Turn right at Broadway and walk half a mile straight down Broadway.

At the Bowling Green fork, bear right and continue down State Street to the Staten Island Ferry building.

At the Staten Island Ferry building, turn left and walk towards the Battery Maritime Building.  Enter and get in line for the Governors Island Ferry!

Directions to the Governors Island Brooklyn Ferry:
The free ferry from Brooklyn leaves from Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park, located at the foot of Atlantic Avenue (corner of Columbia Street).
