Directions to Liberty State Park
Liberty State Park is accessible via water, mass transit, and car.

City of Water Day activities in Liberty State Park will be based in and around the North Field and Liberty Landing Marina at the north end of the park.

Free One-Way Transit to Events
Catch a free ferry to Liberty State Park from Governors Island, running regularly throughout the day. For schedules, go to our Free Trips to Event Locations page (coming soon).
Water Taxi
From New York City: For a round trip fee of $14, Liberty Landing Ferry Service runs daily trips every half hour from the World Financial Center Terminal near North Cove in Manhattan. Visitors will be dropped off at the Water Taxi Landing at the NE corner of the park. From there visitors can stroll along the Liberty Walkway directly to City of Water Day on North Field (behind the Liberty House Restaurant).

Mass Transit
PATH to Exchange Place and transfer to Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (800.772.2222) to Liberty State Park Station. Take the Liberty State Park Shuttle bus (pick up is every 30 minutes at the Light Rail station) to the stop on Audrey Zapp Dr. near the Liberty House Restaurant. North Field, the festival site, will be directly across the street. You can also take the Shuttle to the parking lot at the CRRNJ Terminal.
The Liberty State Park Shuttle Bus will run on a 30 minute schedule on weekends throughout the summer from 9am-10pm. The shuttle costs $1.00 each way. The shuttle makes 2 stops near City of Water Day, first at the terminal building, and second at the Liberty House Restaurant. Click here to view the schedule.
Car
Parking
Parking is available at the Parking Lot at the Liberty State Park Light Rail Station.
You can either take the Liberty State Park Shuttle Bus into the park or walk into the park (follow signs to Liberty State Park and enter under the overpass at Johnston Ave). The walk is approximately 1 mile.
Enter at Audrey Zapp Drive and park at the Ferry Lot near the CRRNJ Terminal ($7 for the day).
From NJ Turnpike
Follow signs for "Exits 14A - 14C, Holland Tunnel, Jersey City, Bayonne". Take Exit 14B. Pay toll. Follow signs to Liberty State Park. Continue straight through the traffic light and Turn LEFT at the circle on Phillip Street. Make a RIGHT onto Audrey Zapp Drive and the parking lot will be on your right.
From Jersey City (South)
Take Garfield Ave. to the Bayview Ave. bridge (towards turnpike booths). Pass through the traffic circle and follow Morris Pesin Drive. At the third intersection, Freedom Way, make a left and follow Freedom Way past two intersections to Audrey Zapp Drive. Make a right, and the parking lot will be on your right.
From Jersey City (Downtown & North)
Take Grand St. to Pacific Ave. and turn left onto Johnston Ave., or from Communipaw Ave., turn left on to Pacific and right onto Johnston Ave. Follow Johnston Ave into the park where it turns into AUDREY ZAPP DRIVE. The parking lot will be on your right, City of Water Day festivities on your left.
From NYC
From George Washington Bridge: Rt. 95/NJ Turnpike South, then follow Turnpike directions above.
From Lincoln Tunnel: Rt. 95 / NJ Turnpike South, then follow Turnpike directions above.
From Holland Tunnel: Follow signs for NJ Turnpike. Take exit 14B, see turnpike directions above.
